Terms of Use

1. Parties and scope

Divançe is operated by the following company:

These terms cover the web application at https://divance.app and the mobile applications to be released later. By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

Divançe takes a sentence you write in modern Turkish, renders it in the style of five Ottoman literary periods, shows real couplets from the corpus that are close in meaning, and turns the result into a shareable image card. An artificial intelligence model produces the translation.

The couplets are not written by the model; they are selected verbatim from the corpus. If no close couplet is found, the app says so plainly.

3. Account

Limited use is possible without signing in; if you sign in, your daily allowance increases and your translation history is listed. You are responsible for the email address you give being yours. The steps for deleting your account and the data attached to it are set out on a separate page: account and data deletion page

4. Usage allowance and limits

The service is free and is offered with a daily allowance: 3 units per day for a visitor who is not signed in, 10 units per day for a signed in user. A five period translation spends more units than a single period one. If the generation for one period fails, the unit attributable to that period is refunded.

These limits exist because of cost: every translation incurs a real generation cost. The limits may be changed without notice.

5. Unacceptable use

• Sending bulk requests with automated tools or trying to get around the limits
• Using the service to produce unlawful or insulting content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
• Copying or reverse engineering the source code, the corpus or the interface without permission
• Attempting to access someone else's account

6. Content and intellectual property

The sentence you write belongs to you. You may freely use and share the translation we produce for personal and non commercial purposes. The couplets shown are classical texts in the public domain and are given with attribution to their poet.

The Divançe name, interface, design and card template belong to PARLADOR LLC. If you choose to share a result, that result becomes visible at a public link.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided «as is». Translations are a literary interpretation; no guarantee of accuracy is given for academic, legal or official use. There is no undertaking that the service will run without interruption or without error.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service.

Mandatory provisions of consumer protection law are reserved; this section does not limit liabilities that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access in case of a breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted.

10. Changes to these terms

If the terms are updated, the version number and the effective date change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, and the courts of the judicial district in which Albuquerque, NM 87110 is located are competent for disputes.
